Why are microbes needed?

Microbes are needed because they are the keys to growing anything. They are microscopic life-forms that inhabit your soil, and process the nutrients and organic matter, then make everything available for your plants to absorb. For example, you might think that when you spread fertilizer on “healthy soil,” you’re feeding your plants. Not quite. The microbes must first process the nutrients in the fertilizer into forms that your plants can absorb and use.

Container Gardening:

Evenly sprinkle on soil surface, or mix into soil for faster results, 2 Tbsp per 6″ pot. (4 Cups per 5 Gal pot). Repeat application when plants blossom.

Application Instructions For Vegetables and Herbs

Evenly sprinkle on soil surface, 1 Tbsp per square foot. (1/2 to 1-1/2 Cups per 4’x8′ area or 2-5 cups per 100 square feet). Repeat application when plants blossom. Double for tomatoes.

Annual and Perennial Flowers:

Evenly sprinkle on soil surface, 2-4 Tbsp per square foot. (3-7 Cups per 4’x8′ area, or 10-20 lbs per 100 square feet). Repeat application when plants blossom.
