Mites Suck! Eliminate them with the power of Mighty.
No mixing or dilution ratios to worry about. Just shake your bottle of Mighty so it’s mixed well, add it directly to your favorite spray bottle and go to work. Mighty was designed by gardeners to kill pests as soon as they are discovered without having to stop mix up a product for every treatment. Our formula is powerful enough to kill all the soft bodied insects (and their eggs) that may invade your plants canopy, but gentle enough it can be washed off with a mild soap if it comes in contact with your skin.
Some typical pests Mighty will help get rid of are spider mites, fungus gnats, aphids, earwigs, and more.
Safe to use on all plants, including house plants, your veggie garden, and herbs of all types. Use mighty up to two weeks before you harvest! For a typical application, use Mighty every 3 days for normal infestations and every 24 hours for a larger infestation.
Kills Spider Mites
Fully Saturate top and bottom of leaves when applying Mighty, for best results. Spider mites generally live on the undersides of leaves of plants, where they may spin protective silk webs, and they can cause damage by puncturing the plant cells to feed. Spider mites are known to feed on several hundred species of plants.
Spider mites are less than 1 mm (0.04 in) in size and vary in color. They lay small, spherical, initially transparent eggs and many species spin silk webbing to help protect the colony from predators; they get the “spider” part of their common name from this webbing.
Kills Aphids
Aphids are small sap-sucking insects and members of the superfamily Aphidoidea. Common names include greenfly and blackfly, although individuals within a species can vary widely in color. The group includes the fluffy white woolly aphids. A typical life cycle involves flightless females giving live birth to female nymphs—who may also be already pregnant, an adaptation scientists call telescoping generations—without the involvement of males.
Maturing rapidly, females breed profusely so that the number of these insects multiplies quickly. Winged females may develop later in the season, allowing the insects to colonize new plants. In temperate regions, a phase of reproduction occurs in the autumn, with the insects often overwintering as eggs.
Kills Eggs
The two-spotted spider mite can hatch in as little as 3 days, and become mature in as little as 5 days. One female can lay up to 20 eggs per day and can live for 2 to 4 weeks, laying hundreds of eggs.
This accelerated reproductive rate allows spider mite populations to adapt quickly to resist treatment, so chemical control methods can become somewhat ineffectual when the same treatment is used over a prolonged period. In these cases, use Mighty in conjunction with any other treatment of your choosing.
Kills White Flies
White Flies, or Aleyrodidae, are small insects, most species with a wingspan of less than 3 mm and a body length of 1 mm to 2 mm. Many are so small that their size complicates their control in greenhouses because they can only be excluded by screening with very fine mesh; in fact they can enter mesh so fine that many of their natural enemies cannot come in after them, so that unchecked whitefly populations in greenhouses rapidly become overwhelming. Some “giant whitefly” species exist, some of which may exceed 5 mm in size.
The eggs of Aleyrodidae generally are laid near each other on the food plant, usually on a leaf, in spiral patterns or arcs, sometimes in parallel arcs. The egg is elongated, with one narrow end produced into a pedicel, which in some species is longer than the rest of the egg.
