MAINTENANCE

Always rinse the pH electrode with distilled water before next use.Never touch or rub the glass bulb in order to last pH electrode life.Make sure the electrode is clean.Between measurements, rinse the electrode with distilled water. If the electrode has been exposed to a solvent immiscible with water, clean it with a solvent miscible with distilled water e.g. ethanol or acetone, and Rinse carefully with distilled water.

The following are the instructions for using pH calibration powder:

Fill a 250ml distilled water bottle halfway with powder and gently mix for 30 seconds, or until all of the powder is dissolved. The meter is turned on.Place electrodes in a buffer solution with a pH of 7.0 (pH 4.01 or pH 10.01).To enter pH calibration mode, press the button for more than 1 second. The icon “CAL” will appear on the LCD, followed by the pH value of 7.0 (4.01, or 10.01) on the LCD.If the display value is not 7.0 (4.01 or 10.01) when the reading becomes stable, press or to change the reading until it matches 7.0. (4.01 or 10.01). 3.50 to 4.50, 6.50 to 7.50, and 9.50 to 10.50 are the customizable ranges.When the reading is stable and there is no operation, the meter will automatically save the calibration data and exit the calibration mode after 15 seconds. The letters “SA” and “End” will display on the screen, indicating that the calibration process is complete.Before moving on to the next calibration point, rinse probe with distilled water.
