It’s been said that the night skies are the other half of the National Park System. Well, maybe it should be the other “third,” with one third being the surface of the park system and another third the underwater resources.
There are more than five dozen units of the park system that have underwater resources: archaeological relics, coral reefs, marine life. Photos depicting these sights are beautiful and at times incredible. And many come from Brett Seymour, the National Park Service’s deputy chief of the agency’s Submerged Resources Center.
Contributing Editor Lynn Riddick entices Brett out of the water this week to discuss his unique job and the many incredible experiences he has. The show will air this Sunday, May 26. You can find it on the Traveler homepage, and wherever you download your podcasts.
