Now, the brand has announced the new Evanston boots, which promise the protection of a work boot with the design and flexibility of a sneaker. Keen went with a 90-degree, 6-inch heel when designing the Evanston work boots. According to the brand, this design helps provide secure footing on ladders, scaffolding, or loose, uneven surfaces.
Keen.Dry technology gives the Evanston boots a waterproof, breathable membrane that seals out moisture from the inside, keeping your feet dry all day. They’re also oil- and slip-resistant, and resistant to common barnyard chemicals thanks to their full-grain leather construction.
The big draw for these boots is their lightweight design. They offer the protection of a work boot, with the feel and flexibility of a sneaker. The Evanstons feature a carbon-fiber safety toe that’s up to 15% lighter than steel. Additionally, Keen.ReGEN technology makes a return, with a compression-resisting midsole that provides up to 50% energy return with every step.
The Keen Utility Evanston boots come in both men’s and women’s designs. The men’s boots come in Bison/Black or Black/Black colorways. For the women’s Evanstons, Bison/Black is the only color option at the time of writing.
