What is the proper distance between each bulb ?

The distance between each bulb is 41 iches. The grow bulbs can also be installed on other lamp holders(E26).

Can these bulbs be used separately ？Or I gotta use the whole light string ？

Each bulb is independent, and you can use just one or two bulbs according to your needs. However, if you don’t screw the bulbs, the socket is not waterproof.

If I have a 40×50 greenhouse, how many string lights do I need ？

For a greenhouse of 40* 50, in order to work best, we recommend using 8-10 sets of 12lamps.

Is this plant grow light waterproof?

Yes，but please note all bulbs must be screwed in all the way in until the white line on the bulb can not be seen, otherwise an electric shock may result.
